When you’re on vacation it’s hard sometimes to keep up that routine. You feel that if you stop training, that when you get back to reality you will have to make up for all those days you decided to not workout. Luckily for Bocas Town there is just a place for anyone who is looking for a morning high-intensity workout. If you’re not up to running to the beach here are two classes offered at Bocas Fight Gym that are sure to get your sweat on.

Strength & Conditioning Training

From 9am till 10am you’re in for one of Bocas del Toro’s gnarliest workout, seriously. Esther Brix‘s workout is an intense mix of cardio and strength exercises, High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), plyometric, core strengthening and balance exercises– all mixed into this MMA fitness circuit. It’s similar to the workouts done by UFC fighters, you know the same ones that appear on all the fitness magazines as ‘the best bodies‘ around the world?

And if you’re a triathlon, paddler, surfer, cross-fitter or any type of athlete THIS IS THE CLASS you are looking for…

Muay Thai

From 10AM-11:30AM comes Muay Thai Boxing, again another class by Esther Brix.

Training Muay Thai is some of the most intense workouts you can do. From start till finish the majority of this class is hard and will leave you panting. Training Thai Boxing has so many benefits: everything from leg strength to increase cardiovascular conditioning, its no wonder so many of the local Bocas athletes have chosen to train in this class. Even if getting punched in the face is not your thing, no worries, the workout alone is worth giving a try. And who knows, maybe you will find the fighter in you.
